For the time being, please post announcements or news of rallies, chapter events, radio shows, TV shows and other items that are normally allowed in breaking news to Activism, Announcements, Free Republic, News, State categories, etc., as appropriate.

I, for one, would like to see this policy continued even AFTER the war.

I think Breaking News is getting too cluttered with the "FREEP Barney Frank in Wichita" posts.

Why not save it for actual "Breaking News"?

I'll second that. The URGENT PRAYER REQUEST threads about somebody's cousin going to a gynocologist appointment, sick dog, flat tire, or any number of insignificant emergencies are getting a bit annoying.
