Ollie North: French diplomats and inteligence agents assisting in destruction of Iraqi documents
FoxNews | 3/18/03

Posted on 03/18/2003 1:11:45 PM PST by Thane_Banquo

Ollie North on Foxnews just said the rumor going around in the Middle East is that French diplomats and inteligence agents are assisting in the destruction of [I assume] Iraqi documents showing French complicity in helping Iraq further its WMD programs.

I don't doubt we're the best equipped. Let's hope the stuff works as advertised.

Are they all remembering that little Bush phrase: if you are not for us, you are for the terrorists? (or the paraphrase thereof?)

Just who are the countries behind the Axis of Evil Nations ?
China supporting North Korea ?
Russia supporting Iran ?
and France and Germany supporting Iraq ?
Too bad these Axis of Evil supporters dont have the guts or the strength to challenge us openly.

My favorite part was when Neil Cavuto said to Ollie, "The French say they want to be involved in rebuilding Iraq after the war..what do you think about that?" And Ollie replied, "It doesn't surprise me that France wants to be involved with rebuilding Iraq, considering their oil interests there." He then mentioned the French intelligence there destroying stuff. He also said something to the effect that the new leaders probably won't want them there.

Ollie ended, somewhat ticked, by saying, "The French will have to eat fois gras somewhere else!"

To paraphrase a quote from a character in "Lilo and Stitch", the French have drifted too long in the placid oceans of our patience.

Stuff will surface, oh, yes indeed. Don't think for a minute some of this documentation is being saved as get-out-of-jail cards for everyone from Tariq Aziz (who isn't on any war crimes "to-do" lists, hmmm) on down.

The French really screwed the pooch on this deal. After this is over they'll be the ones crawling to us.

Your actions are commendable but in my opinion slightly flawed in regards to this boycott. What effect would this boycott have on US jobs?

Airbus alone creates thousands of US jobs and buys at least up to $6 billion of US products every year. Everything from engines to sub-assemblies. Airbus is an international consortium and such a boycott would also affect UK jobs.

That is the great thing about America. People can do what they want with their $'s.

I have no impact with Airbus. However, I can personally impact other companies.

Do you work for Airbus or a subsidiary?

Hackworth has a regular column in the Navy Times. He's been anti-war and quite *how to put this* vocal about it for a while. I can't even get through most of his articles without turning the page in disgust.

I'll be surprised if we ever see him have to answer for it. Heads of state enjoy mutual respect from other leaders - Unless it's too obscene to ignore. I bet he gets a walk.

EV, here's where I found the list I emailed to you.

Grampa, suggest you add Facom tools. Facom is the French equivalent of Snap-On and is used by BMW plants (ref: Spartanburg, SC where they make the Z4 and X5). Yep - a 2-fer. SCREW the Germans too!

If this is true we should declare war on France, and no, I'm not kidding.

"Hopefully they will have a more difficult task trying to destroy already installed Mirage replacement parts manufactured in 2003."

And I pray that we capture Saddams WMD's intact for the same reason (in addition to the fact that if we capture them that means Saddam didn't get a chance to use them against us..).

Bless the hard drives! Thanks for reminding us of this. Even with france helping all they can, the destruction cannot be complete. Burning documents and smashing hard drives...france must be frantic!
