Ollie North is going to go with the troops all the way to Baghdad while covering for FoxNews. So long as the uplink stays working, it's going to be very interesting. North has promised that he will do a broadcast from a liberated Baghdad before coming home.

Buying Iraq - A possibly surreal invasion
September 30, 2002

"... The surrealism would be complete if bidding wars erupt over Iraq's weapons of mass destruction (WMD) between terrorists, newsmen and various intelligence organizations before American troops arrive. Some countries' spooks, including ours, will be busy eliminating embarrassing evidence (and inconvenient witnesses) of their governments' support of Iraqi tyrant Saddam Hussein and/or how they provided him with some of the WMD everyone is looking for."

The French Connection 2003. See the movie in 2004. They drag out the UN so they can destroy documents.

I think the most important part of the interview was the determination and "True Grit" from the Captain that Mr. North was interviewing.

God bless my Brother in Arms!!

Loved it when Ollie made monkeys out of the kangaroo court some years ago, but he does seem to have document shredding on the brain. BTW notice that te French are now saying that they will join the fray if Sodom uses chem or bio weapons. Conspicuously absent was a mention of nuclear weapons.

Ollie mentioned yesterday and today that he was upset about reports in the media about the military's lack of preparedness to deal with chemical and biological weapons. He was pretty hot about this subject. Does anyone think he was referring to Col. Hackworth? I seem to remember hearing him on Hannity saying such a thing. Do these two have their own little feud going on?

Hackworth is either a drunk or crazy. I don't know which but he acts like someone with his panties in a wad.

All I want is Jacques Chirac brought up on chages of crimes against humanity through collaboration with Saddam Hussein

Great point.

How about also charging him & France with waging a war of aggression for sending French troops into Ivory Coast? (Especially if the Euro-peaceniks go after Tony Blair.)

Unlike the U.S., which got UN resolution 1441 unanimously, the French did NOT even go to the UN. (Res. 1441 said "serious consequences" if Saddam does not disarm. Contrary to what the French think, "serious consequences" does NOT mean that we simply stop shipping him snails and truffles.)

Unlike the U.S. which has dozens of allies including UK, Australia, Poland, Kuwait, Spain, Portugal and Italy, among others, France went into the Ivory Coast without any allies.

The initial French mission may have been to rescue their citizens (and we can thank them for also rescuing some U.S. citizens). Howevever, they imposed a settlement in the civil war without UN approval and unilaterally.

She married Danny Sugerman and got hooked on controlled substances. A couple of years ago Entertainment Tonight was doing a story on her after she got out of rehab, again.

That's why other nations were asking for more time.
Iraq could surrender WMD in 4 hours, but destroying world wide assistance documents could take a few extra months.
They're not fooling anyone.

Too bad for Saddam if he is the puppet of the French.

Or maybe it's the other way around.
