Mark Steyn is quickly leaving the rest of the Punditocracy in his wake. His intelligence, his clarity, and his devastating wit are simply too much for the competition -- or for anyone whose worldview requires any degree of self-deception. We are truly blessed to have him writing in our time.

I completely agree. I regularly send his columns out to friends and family, always with the subject line: "Another Steyn classic." There is no one else out there even remotely close to him.

Indeed. I somehow didn't see it completely, when I first started noticing him . . . maybe some of his references were not clear to me--Canadian that he is.

Ann Coulter can be just as good, but she just doesn't publish as frequently. When's her next book coming out? Hope it's as important as Slander.
