The model fuels use alcohol and nitromethane, not nitroglycerin. They are not explosive, only flammable. Nitromethane is used an explosive, properly detonated. A buddy of mine developed an oil well-head severing system using nitromethane.
Fertalizer is an explosive when you add desiel fuel. That doesn't make it an explosive.
