I've also read the Koran or Queer'Ann, or whatever you want to call it.
Such airheaded comments only offend the millions of Muslims who are moderate, who do not choose to interpret the Koran as license to kill. [I am not Muslim, BTW.] I just don't see any reason to maim the innocent along with the guilty, to offend all Muslims (including posters here), to vandalize the home of a French woman who's lived in this country for 20 years (Houston), etc. Calling names is infantile.

In order to qualify as a "moderate" muslim, you'd have to ignore the central tenants of the religion, and endless invocations to kill infidels. 

 

It's tantamount to calling someone who doesn't attend Mass, take Communion, or take Confession a moderate Catholic.  I'd call them a non-Catholic.

 

When reading the koran or the suras and coming across a phrase like "The Christians say: The Christ is the son of Allah; "Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." (Surah 9:29), you've really got to ask yourself, "what kind of person would want to be identified with a religion like this?"
