Outstanding thread,...
If any freepers have information regarding Iraqi infrastructure, post it as well.
Believe it or not, maps and drawings of recent construction in Iraq might not be available to military or even the CIA. They have more access to our infrastructure by the Internet than vica versa. Please post away.

Thanks for the link to University of Texas map website.
...and this from an old Semi-Aggie showing his age. Which proves the old adage that Aggies and Teasips are only on the same side when the US is at war or the Cotton Bowl is being played.
Play on the Old Corps Saying: "The only time the Marines and the Navy are on the same side is when the US is at war or Annapolis plays West Point."

Looks like most of the oil is in the north or south, in or close to the no-fly zones.

Thanks for the kind words, Cvengr. Your comments on our intelligence, I am sad to say, is all too true.
Being a child of the 1950s, I do sometimes long for the simpler days when heros stood for "Truth, Justice and the American Way."
Where are the Blackhawks when we really need them?

The map concealed in...Revelation 9
7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 Their hair was like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails and stings like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.
Crowns of Gold Sinai
Faces Jordan
Hair Lebanon
Teeth Jordan
Breastplates Iraq
Wings (the ironically labelled 'no fly zones' of Iraq
Sting / Tails Somalia / UAE
Horses prepared for battle / Turkey is the rider (See: Psalm 10:15) Arm/Istanbul
And as for the Locusts...

I could be mistaken, but I always thought the Sphinx was on the East bank of the Nile and faced West towards the True Promise Land, Texas.
How could I be wrong?

The heck with maps, how about a nice "before" image of Baghdad?
(I believe Saddam's Presidential palace is at the very bottom looking out over the Tigris River):
Sorry for the size but I wanted to make sure the images were clear enough... Hey look! I think that's him on the veranda!
