I'm not sure who John Hagee is. Just for the record:

"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

That was written by Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC.

And the poem that preceded it was posted here about two months ago. Perhaps Mr. Hagee is the unknown author? In regards to that poem, I stand by my original response here.

The people who wrote the text also deserve their recognition and I'm glad you cleared it up.

Next time I'm in church, I will stand up and demand the preacher admit he's a plagurist.
