Congressman Steve King (R-IA) watched the march from Pershing Park and remarked that the protesters' message was "anti-American" and "anti-Bush." He observed that the flags carried by the marchers were those of Palestine, the United Nations, and even one of Japanese Revolutionary Communist League. More than one Gay and Lesbian rainbow flag was seen among the rally participants.

King noted that the only American flags in the march were desecrated in one way or another, some with the 60s peace symbol in the blue section usually filled with stars representing the 50 states. One flag had corporate logos instead of the stars. The Iowa congressman also noticed that the supposed cross-section of Americans that opposed the war were conspicuously absent.

Congressman Steve King is an old friend of mine, and is one you all might want to watch.

He is going to be one of the very brightest conservative stars in Congress in the years to come.

I've known many legislators over the years, both state and federal, and Steve is the most talented and principled that I have ever seen or known.

You are right about that. The headline should read:

Congressman Steve King (R-IA) Attends Pro-American Rally (democrat conyers mentioned)
