I mostly agree (I agree entirely about the sense of loss) but one cannot oppose an active war without harming the troops who are fighting it. The two are tightly tied together and cannot be separated.

Sort of like laws and the police. A good policeman will enforce a bad law. Like 55 mph. A good person does not hold the policeman responsible for a stupid law.
