He withdrew the measure because voting on it was a waste of time once France declared that they would veto any and all resolutions that would set ultimatums on their buddy.

I heard there are still UN officials in Iraq and won't be out until Tuesday evening earliest. I think that maybe the delay.

Although, if we can prove Saddumb is giving his troops chemical weapons, maybe we will just go ahead without any deadline. (I hope!)
