Waiting more than 36 hours invites mischief.

Notice that the unknown aide has said that it is only a draft and could be changed. This MAY be a smokescreen to retain some small element of suprise. (I doubt it, but ya' never know!)

Will he give Saddam 48 or 72 hours to get out of Dodge?

"Seven months ago, Secretary of State Colin Powell helped persuade Bush to seek U.N. approval for military action despite the objections of anti-Saddam hawks like Vice President Dick Cheney."
I for one am glad that President Bush heeded Powell's advice to go through the UN. Any time that you can kill two birds with one stone, is a good day.

Just saw that the British parliment will vote on war tomorrow. Makes me think it can't go off tonight.

Is certainly says a lot about our military and the President's confidence in their abilities when we give the enemy the start time for war.

There were stories a couple of weeks ago about a 48 hour deadline. I think it's gonna be 48 hours.

The American public, by a 2-1 margin, supports military action against Iraq to remove Saddam, a slight increase from recent weeks, according to a CNN-USA Today-Gallup poll. This needs to be repeated.

He ordered the measure withdrawn to avoid an embarrassing defeat
Typical editorializing in an AP "news" article.
He withdrew the measure because voting on it was a waste of time once France declared that they would veto any and all resolutions that would set ultimatums on their buddy.

Will the British troops have to pull out if the vote is no?

Although, if we can prove Saddumb is giving his troops chemical weapons, maybe we will just go ahead without any deadline. (I hope!)
