As I said in another thread, this exile option is a terrible idea. Terrible. Don't be surprised if Saddam accepts it, and then Bush will have painted himself into a similar corner to the one his father created.

If it applies only to Saddam I agree, but if it applies to his whole government it might not be a bad idea. As it is, he could leave and put his son in charge. The one problem is it would take awhile to assess the new government, which might not be any better.
