Just heard on the radio that the UN vote would have been close! I wish they had gone through with it, I'd like to know which nations were with us and which nations were with the weasels!

Powell to speak at 10:45 AM... What I would like to hear from Powell is that Saddam has until 7:59 PM EST to get the hell out of Iraq. Then the President can take it from there at 8:00.

You don't suppose Bush is going to surrender to the French, do you?

1) My daughter will be back from her spring break trip.My daughter just left yesterday on a cruise. She won't be back until next Sunday! My only consolation is that she is with her future in-laws and the dad is a former air force fighter pilot so I have faith he will take good care of her.

The French UN Ambassador said that a "majority" of the SC would have voted against the US/Brits/Spain. I wonder why they had to threaten a veto if that were the case.

I BELIEVE THAT THE FAT LADY DONE FINISHED HER SONG.
Toby Keith apparently told her to shut her fat mouth, so it must be the Dixie Chick--in more ways than one.

My daughter just yesterday returned from a high school field trip to New York. Thank goodness. Her spring break is next week. I will let her go, we have to live our lives.
Got my TV set up now folks. :^)

Admins better get their act together on this site. I posted a thread about the vote. It was pulled. The second thread about the subject was locked quoting that it was a duplicate of my thread. GET IT TOGETHER
Funny how that sort of thing seems to happen a lot less around Free Republic Donation time. There seem to be a lot of such duplicate postings of that sort then.

France is to blame On the positive side, France's actions may have emboldened SH enough to stick around and dig his own grave...had there been a unifed front in the UN, he might have decided to step down, putting one of his equally evil, yet much younger and healthier sons in command, maintaining puppet control...would we then be able to go in and topple the regime? That, to me, would have been a worse scenario....

The admins can easily copy that info over in an update of the original thread. They modify threads all the time.

Can all the idiot lefty pundits please stop saying that this has been a 'diplomatic disaster' for Bush now? Those words will never ever stop spewing from their mouths.

Has anyone come across any active Fox News Channel internet links...they are the only channel I can stand watching these days and I need them here at the office.
Many Thanks

I'm going to go lug my TV down by my 'puter. Will return.I finally bought a little computer desk and stuck my computer in the family room next to the TV. I got tired of running back and forth from the kitchen! :) My family is getting ready to do an intervention...:)

My recollection is that these presidential speeches tend to follow, not precede, the beginning of military action. But Bush is not just any President...he clearly stated he would address the American people before action started.

Very simple! They were attempting to show the rest of the folks that it was useless to support it, as they were just gonna veto it anyway. By constantly saying that they were going to veto it, they never had to.
