[history]
At first glance, the events surrounding the Iraq affair seem quite bizarre. America, which provided the main power in defeating fascism in Germany, Italy and Japan in World War II, then defeated Soviet totalitarianism in the Cold War and has been the stalwart proponent of peace and democracy in the world since

A socialist is a socialist.
Fascism is socialism. Liberalism is socialism. Just kissin' cousins.

The simple difference between the United States of America...
and every other country is...
we kill only in furtherance of freedom...
all others kill for power and control...
sounds like Queen Hil and demon-rats!!
When America is done fightin', countries are free...
when the commies are done fightin', people die more than ever!!

Argh! I hate articles like this. The left was never against people like Hitler.
Hitler was a National Socialist (Nazi was short for National Socialist Worker's Party).
The reason the hard left doesn't hate Saddam is the same reason they supported Hitler. Hitler and Saddam are more or less their dream come true.
The Jews were to Hitler what Americans are to today's leftist. (Though the Jews often still get blamed).

A Socialist is a cockroach.
Exterminate 'em.

Saddam joined the Baghdad SOCIALIST party in 1959...Upon taking control, it was named the "Bahii" party. Why don't people mention this? Seems lefties always try to label leftist whackos like Saddam and Hitler "fascists" to distinguish them with their preferred leftist wackos like Stalin and Mao.

Could it be they are all anti_semitic? We know Germany is. We suspect France.

'the classical secular fascist Saddam Hussein'
The author doesn't understand Islam so he makes silly mistakes. Secular? Ha. Socialist? Not in the Western sense. Fascist? Only by a Liberal definition where anything they don't like is called fascist. I believe Saddam is an Islamist extremist, a radical and a with the same notions of world domination as Osama Bin Laden, with Saddam as the head of the Caliphate.
