Well, now that you mention it, I attended a Gordon Research Conference in Oxnard CA in 1984 entitled "Diet and Human Evolution," so please don't accuse me of coming to this last week. I was only one of two physicians at this conference (Boyd Eaton who wrote the Paleolithic Prescription was the other) of (mainly) anthropologists; Leakey was there, Klein (of Neandertal fame), Pat Shipman and another 50 or so were in attendance. Great conference.
