The idiot was not hurt. He threw himself at the very slow moving vehicle after he was afraid to stand in front of it. Funny how the camera just moved along with the vehicles. Who were the guys on bicycles? The link has no sound.

Gee, I thought that drivers were always to yield to pedestrians. In any event, the driver of that police car should be charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

He should have done what you or I would have done in the same circumstance. Stop and report it to other police (who apparently were close by) and let them investigate the accident. No one even inquired if the pedestrian was injured.

I guess the difference in our outlooks is that I believe in the equal protection principle. The law applies the same to everyone, even police officers.

It looks like some of the peaceniks were attempting to show their opposition to the war by making people late for work. The officers were "encouraging" them to move along.

Yea but this guy didn't move. He turned around and stood there. When a police car is coming at you at that slow a pace you have plenty of time move over. All the other peaceniks moved over. But this guy after he just stood there got up again and went right back at the car

Leave it to you to fault the Police in this (or any other ) situation that they are involved in.

Why the animosity towards the cops? Perhaps there is a valid reason for it. Care to share?

I wish I still had my 77 Nova instant-backfire-mobile. It was pretty good at scattering peace-niks and other small rodents.

Those peaceniks are none too smart. This reminds me of the case where one of them sat on the railroad track to block the munitions train. Of course, the stopping distance for a fully loaded train is quite long. The end result was the train could not stop in time. The peacenik's legs were amputated.

What is even worse, the peacenik proceeded to sue the railroad crew for negligence. I think the case was thrown out of court. The reason would be he did not have a leg to stand on.
