Despite Bush's pledge to force nations to lay their cards on the table, everyone already has.

I agree with you. He said he was going to force everyone to stand up and be counted. He didn't even have to force the vote. They ended up showing their hands before the vote. For Franch to say they would veto anything that called or force pretty much ended the call for the vote. Hence, vote isn't any long necessary.

At every turn, at every opportunity, spin this NOW on France.

"France vowed to veto the resolution no matter how many votes we got. France stated there would NEVER be a vote for war from the U.N. Security Council.

"I will not stand idly by while danger gathers. For the American people, their families, and our future, a coalition of our friends and allies will disarm Iraq, rid that country of weapons of mass destruction, and liberate the people from this tyrant."
