I did a little googling and found out the movie is called "Incognito," starring Jason Patric and Irène Jacob. It came out about five years ago.

This is a fascinating, though humorous story. Although I notice that the "masters" that Myatt successfully faked all seem to have been modern. I wonder if he could have done it so easily with the great masters of the older traditions.
