Depends on the ease of transmission. Within the next few days we will know much more:

1. Did anyone who shared the plane with the sick Doctor become infected? (Airborne)

2. Did his two companions become infected? (casual contact)

The rate of spread and the conflicting information on mortality is disturbing...

The rate of spread seems actually quite fantastic, if you look at what happened in Hong Kong. But there may be many more vectors out of Vietnam than this lone patient in Hanoi. The mortality doesn't seem all that high so far. But it's early yet, and as someone pointed out - even a moderate mortality rate in a real pandemic can give horrible results.
