Things will get busier starting around noon, but there's plenty of local pre-rally press coverage afoot. If you catch a glimpse of it, feel free to alert us.

The 3/15/03 DC chapter Counter Protest had one representative speaking on KNX 1070 Radio in Los Angeles a few minutes ago. The announcer said the group was Free Republic, and then a woman from Free Republic spoke to say that they were there to support the President and our troops.

Way to go, DC chapter.

Some folks started getting really insulting about outr leaders, calling them terrorists and criminals. Now I have my disagreemetns with this Administration, but terrorists and criminals they are NOT!

At my instigation, some of us staarted chnting "Try that in Baghdad!" They were also greeted with "If you're the ANSWER, it must be a stupid question."

Their chants of "No blood for oil" drew first "Tell it to the French!" and then "Get some new chants! This is not the 60s."

When I saw a woman with an Iraqi flag, I hit her with "Burn it! Burn it!"

On my way home via metro, I was standing on the platform at Fort Totten to change trains just holding my flag, not doing anything else, and I got some really nasty looks from radical types on their way back to whatever cave they had crawled out of earlier in teh day.

America's Finest - The SpearTip of Freedom. (Photos of our deploying troops - share yours)

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors; they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men." Samuel Adams

An air cushion landing craft passes an American flag as it carries U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit to waiting ships from Onslow Beach in Camp Lejeune, N.C., Wednesday March 5, 2003. More than 2,300 Marines and sailors deployed Wednesday.
