he was on SNL from 85-90 right?
I don't remember the years.
he was ripping on conservatives?
Yes.
or just the people who just happened to be in the White House at that time? it occurs to me that he ripped on Slick Willie fairly often when he took up residence there (tho no longer on SNL obviously)...
Norm MacDonald ripped into the Clintons. I don't recall DM doing that. Norm is the
one who made some antiClinton remark that made the audience suck in their breath. In
the silence that followed, Norm said, "You know he's a murderer, right?" Now, that's
from the same writers, I imagine, who wrote for DM but you never heard anything remotely
like that from Dennis.

Not sure what Norm has to do with this. Other than being the "News" guy after DM.
Anyway, then I assume you never watched Dennis Miller Live then since you don't recall him ripping Clinton?
And he WAS on SNL from 85-90 (that wasn't a question so much as a statement). While the people running the country were who??? That's right -- Ronnie and Bush I. So a COMEDIAN ripped on people who happened to be in the White House at the time? No kidding?
By the way this is from a Q&A w/Miller a while back.

From momama: What's your take on why the country basically turned its head the other way on Clinton literally doing his job with his pants down--have we become that blasé when it comes to his affairs?
We're very reticent as a culture to call people on their BS, because we're told it makes us intolerant--but it might just make us right.
From wrestling: If Bill Clinton could run for office again, would you vote for him, based on how he's run the country?
No.
Doesn't sound like he liked Bill much, eh?

I really do not care about DM's past, he is right on the mark now!!
It is about time that we have voices that can think on their feet, we do not have people that do that well. I say that Dennis Miller, Ron Silver, Hitchens (spelling?) are doing very well. We should support them as converts to specific causes. This is not to say that they and we may have different viewpoints on other subjects -- but so what!
