Dude, I have no idea what "Dennis Miller" you're thinking of.
He was against Clinton. He would have Chris Hitchens on and tear into him ruthlessly.
Some of you guys-- I honestly have no idea which "Dennis Miller" you think you've been watching for the past five years.

I hope I am wrong.

Or rather, I think I do know.
I would read the Media Research Center reports on Miller. Brent Bozell had a real stick up his ass about Miller, apparently because he thought that ABC had picked the "left wing" Miller over Limbaugh for the MNF job.
And so MRC would keep publishing these "leftist" statements by Miller, apparently completely unaware that Miller was just about the most famous conservative-tilting dude in Hollyood at the moment, and that while he sprinkled scorn among all politicos like many commedians do, he hit the Clintons hard and viciously and often, and he hit the Democrats harder than any other (non political, non news, non Fox) tv personality.
Brent Bozell is surprised by Miller's "conversion." It's not really a "conversion." It's an intensification or a clarification, but the man has been moderate to right-leaning for oh, about ten frickin years.

My reluctance to accept DM goes back to his smarmy obnoxiousness doing Weekend Update on SNL. His attacks on the conservative agenda stick in my memory and I don't remember him doing the same to liberals back then. I hated him as a result up to and including his failed stint on MNF. The years on SNL weren't figments of my imagination. He is doing great now and I support him without altering what he did in the past, though.

I lived over seas at the time and may have missed everything he said. That said you might want to do a web search using "dennis miller" "impeachment". This little gem pretty much fits what I remember him having to say.

I can't say he loved Clinton but he wasn't calling for his head either.

Can somebody reconcile the Dennis Miller that whipped Dan Quayle 3 times a weak on SNL with this new one who's become the darling of FR? I liked him best when he had his own talk show (sorry it tanked. I'm sure folks were upset that he just didn't rip his guests a new one each week) and I think he is funny and sharp generally, but he can drift back into the libby camp just as easily one of these days.
