I have no idea, I'm not a military strategist. I've heard winter is best, but I've also heard that after spending half the summer at Ft. Irwin, our troops are quite capable of fighting in the heat of summer in Iraq.
If you'll recall, I jumped in here disputing your statement that it only took 2 months to get the troops ready for Desert Storm. It took at least that long to get the tanks & APVs on the ships.

I'm praying for the least amount of casualties, so if fighting during the summer months is no more dangerous than fighting during the winter months, I'm a happy camper.
