The Dixie Chicks' career will depend on how many CDs they sell, how many concert tickets, etc. Not on what a bunch of FReepers think.

Take a shot of reality. The fact is that this is more than likely one salvo in a long war.

anyone who has worked in "email support" for any type of company can tell you that there are templates to send back to people.

Thank you for your letter regarding ___________. We appreciate any and all feedback. Your concerns have been forwarded to our ______ department."

I watched part of an interview with the Dixie Chicks a week or so ago. They said that CD sales provide very little income to them. They get an extremely small percentage of the CD price.

They said that they consider recordings as loss leaders in order to sell tickets to the concerts. That is where they make their money, not on CD sales.

I don't know if it is true, but it is what they said.
