As I understand it from the news this a.m., Kemper Arena in K.C. has cancelled the Dixie Chicks concert that was scheduled there. Good for Kemper Arena! (Although, I am sure they are doing it because they got a number of calls wishing to cancel their ticket orders.)

Where did you hear this news? I can't find it anywhere.

Don't Tread On Me (Damn Yankees - Tommy Shaw, Jack Blades, Ted Nugent)

Freedom rider
On a midnight cruise
On my way
I got nothing to lose
Sister mercy
Gonna take my hand
Lead me over
To the promised land

But you'd better not
Set your sights on me
'Cause it just might spoil your victory

Don't you dare
Don't you tread on me
Don't you tread on me
Don't you try
And make some fool of me
Don't you tread on me

We walked the ground
Of ancient ones
Lit the fire
With a rising sun
You and me
We got a full on rage
Won't get fooled
No I won't be caged

Make love not war
Was your claim to fame
Now you're takin' me down
Well I won't be tamed

Don't you dare
Don't you tread on me
Don't you tread on me
Don't you try
And make some fool of me
Don't you tread on me

Don't you dare
Don't you tread on me
Don't you tread on me
Don't you dare forget your history
Don't you tread on me!

Believe it was Abe Lincoln who said, "It is far better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak, and remove all doubt."

There is no more doubt

The best "bris" bit ever was the old Saturday Night Live takeoff on the Cadillac commercial, where he did the bris in the back seat to demonstrate how smooth the ride was.

LOL!! I remember that. It was "Rabbi Goldberg" riding in the back of the "Royal Deluxe II". "Ach... poifecht!!" ("Waaaaaahhhhh!!") Yep, that skit is right up there with the "ad" for the "Bass-O-Matic 76". ;-)

They should change their names to the French Whores.

I wonder if they thought yet about the tendency of dixie to not go for liberal BS? Especially country music fans. I hope their sales drop.

I'm going to buy the Darryl Worley CD Have you Forgotten (featured on Fox in the morning and Hannity and the Crypt Keeper)when it comes out - a very get Saddam pro America kind of song.

No one will remember it in about two weeks.

By "it" I presume you mean The "Vichy" Chicks' career.

It sure explains the politics.

Yes, we have free speech in this country. What most of these liberal yahoos forget that we also have a free market society. We speak with our dollars, and these 'chicks' won't be getting many more of those from us!

What else would you expect from the "Spice Girls" of country music?

I think we shouldn't publicize DU on FR. They do a good enough job discrediting themselves by the amount of screaching and factless rants. I made that mistake myself before until I realize that even bad publicity is good publicity for them!

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The Dixie Chicks are drawing harsh words from country music fans for remarks singer Natalie Maines made about President George W. Bush during a recent performance in London.
Maines told the audience earlier this week, "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."
Angry phone calls flooded Nashville radio station WKDF-FM on Thursday, some calling for a boycott of the Texas trio's music.
The group released a statement Thursday saying they have been overseas for several weeks and "the anti-American sentiment that has unfolded here is astounding. While we support our troops, there is nothing more frightening than the notion of going to war with Iraq and the prospect of all the innocent lives that will be lost."
In a separate statement Thursday, Maines said, "I feel the president is ignoring the opinion of many in the U.S. and alienating the rest of the world. My comments were made in frustration, and one of the privileges of being an American is you are free to voice your own point of view."
The Dixie Chicks will kick off a U.S. tour in support of their multi-platinum album Home on May 1 in Greenville, South Carolina. The group's hits include "Wide Open Spaces," "Ready to Run" and "Landslide."

This tour won't see any of my money! My wife and daughter wanted to go...but forget that!

The first time I heard of the Chicks was on VH1 Behind the Music. It struck me how heartlessly the sisters dumped two lead singers before they ended up with Natalie. Apart from the lack of loyalty, the way they did it was cold.
