I heard yesterday and again today that Iraq has wired some of it's oil wells to be ignited if they are attacked.

This is probably a very ignorant question BUT can anybody tell me IF it's possible to somehow jam the ignitors? Thanks.

I understand that it depends on the technology used. An electro magnetic pulse weapon could destroy transistor based technology. But I do not know if we have such weapons. Let's pray.
