Mexican President Vicente Fox told reporters from his hospital bed after a spinal operation that US President George Bush tried to "insistently convince" him of the US view on Iraq, but that Mexico had not taken a decision yet.
Fox, who underwent surgery early on Thursday for a slipped disk, said he was "somewhat" under pressure on the Iraqi issue, and had received calls from several countries, including Singapore, Japan, Colombia and Venezuela

Ummm. Yeah. So?
It's not like he's a senile old guy in a nursing home.
Fox tries to pressure Bush on a variety of issues.

Any predictions on what President Bush will do if Mexico votes against a war?

Perhaps someone Pres. Bush should remind Fox why we will be celebrating San Jacinto Day in Texas on April 21?

Actually, I believe the purpose of his surgery was to install a spine...

I suppose if we threw all the illegal Mexicans out of the country then we might get Fox's attention?
But then people would say "Hey! Who would do all the work they do? Americans won't do that kind of work!". My response is "Yes, that's what they say".
Others would say "but we need the Mexicans because the baby boomers are getting older and we need the younger population to tax!". To THAT my response is "Well, if the left had not allowed the murder of 40 million babies then maybe we would have a lot younger "native" population".

Mexico does what's in the best interest of Mexico, they don't care about anyone else. Something for all the politicians in this country to think about while they're tripping over each other to appease Fox and the millions of illegal aliens pouring across the borders.

So, what is he saying exactly, that he doesn't have a backbone because he didn't stand firm with the U.S. or because GW had to push him into it forcing his disk to slip?

Here is Leno on Mexico last night:
Jay Leno: "And the latest in this war thing today, Mexico said they don't believe we have the right to go into Iraq. And believe me, there's one rule that Mexico is adamant about, it is respecting another country's borders."

Hmmmm. I wonder what Fox would ask in return for his support? California? California plus Arizona?
To: neefer
If we don't get a vote by Monday I will be into
"there will be NO WAR" mode. Mexico I am sure will vote NO. If Fox is already whining about Bush - it means Fox has been talking to the King of all Whines - Jacque Chirac! Apparently France has been offering these countries something that the U.S. can't - Maybe a stake in the EU.

Fox is up to his true colors. He is trying to play cagey. Fox probably wants Mexico to be the ninth vote for the U.S. so we will be indebted to them.
This is one of the main reasons we don't need the U.N.

I haven't seen Jay Leno in a long time. Maybe, I'll stay up and watch if he keeps this theme.
Thanks for posting.
