One thing different about him than some of the others you are speaking of is he is not a believer in the Book of Mormon. Having said that he will probably welcome the platform and maybe this might play some into his being caught back in Utah.

I had heard (though I can't say that it was a reliable source) that he had published his "own" copy of the Book of Mormon. He IS originally LDS, though excommunicated some time ago.

At first I had heard he "hates Mormons" and since I know from personal experience that there are lots of "evangelical" sidewalk preachers hanging around downtown Salt Lake City I assumed he was one of those.
