Rush says he knows Kallstrom, and he's a man given the responsibility of finding the bad guys. He planted the bugs that John Gotti, after all, and he's told Rush that had the mob been using high-tech and encrypted means to communicate, the FBI would not have been able to get the goods on Gotti.
Sandy, though, points out that Kallstrom planted bugs on Gotti, not wiretaps, and the Clipper chip is basically a way to wiretap a computer. Given that Gotti was trapped with bugs that recorded his human speech, it makes no sense to claim that computer encryption would have stymied the investigation.
Rush, though, says that wiretaps are still being used, but the main point is that Kallstrom wants to catch the bad guys, so he doesn't want the bad guys to have any advantage over the good guys.
You make it sound like Rush has said this recently, and thus Rush seemingly has confidence in his 'old friend' of flushing out the bad guys behind who shot down TWA 800.
But the article/court case implicate Kallstrom as neck deep in a conspiracy to cover-up TWA 800's attackers (the Navy by accident).
I haven't listened to Rush in a few years. So, is Rush current on this trial and Kallstrom's implication?
