We've been expecting this (and dreading it) since yesterday. They were determined to do it, it seems.

I called my councilman, Speaker Miller, but he was a sponsor of the bill. He's also being term-limited out, so he doesn't give a shit.

You guys who want to knock New York-- be my guest. Really. I mean it. Indulge yourselves. Vent til it feels good. You're all entitled.

And if the reaction is negative and national enough, the commies on the council will have to repeal this and some of them won't get re-elected.

You will be helping us in the long run, so go ahead and yell.

my condolences. i'm a conservative in washington st and not a conservative reprsentative in sight. i know what no representation is like. but you've seen the cartoon where the frog has his head in the pelicans beek and his hands around the birds throat in total defiance that's me with sen murrary,cantwell and rep johnson they all just love me
