I went to school with a girl that was a haemophilliac. She wasn't allowed to participate in much of gym class.

That may be the reason that she was on the pills. The pill tends to work this way.

Week 1: Pill causes your body to "think" it's pregnant.
Week 2: Pill causes your body to "think" it's pregnant.
Week 3: Pill causes your body to "think" it's pregnant.
Week 4: No pill (or sugar pill).... body wakes up, realizes it's not pregnant, and that infernal bleeding starts until....

Week 1:.... etc.

The pill itself controls the cycle of bleeding and not bleeding. There are women who take the pill regardless of what week it is so that they never have to go through the bleeding cycle. It's possible that because this girl was a hemophiliac, they had her permenantly on the pill (without the break in week 4) to prevent her from EVER bleeding. If that's the case, this could have gone on for years..... and who knows, that massive over-ride of "mother nature" could have caused the coma.

".......Flock of Seagulls, The Cars, Bannarama, Genesis, Cyndy Laupner and the rest of the 'Golden Age of Rock'n Roll'?"

The "Golden Age of........................." ........are you kiddin' me??? Sigh............you're talking to a rock guitarist of over 30 years here.......and trust me when I tell you, that lineup does NOT represent the golden age of anything!

Now, now, the Canadian government has apologized for Bryan Adams on numerous occasions.
