Most definitely James Woods for the Fame column. He has a masterful way with facts and can present them as well. He totally decimated Clennon on Hannity's show. Clennon was a script reading moron.

I was chatting with a friend the other day who used to work at some fancy resort where celebrities often stayed. She told me most of them were very nice and polite, but (funny enough) the three she named as being the rudest she ever met...... Babs Streisand, Phil Donahue and Sean Penn. Now, why am I not surprised?

I read an article about Jennifer Anniston and Brad Pitt when they mocked Jenna Bush in a hallway of an agency she was working for during the summer. Brad asked Jenna if he could go out to the truck and get her a beer....of course Jennifer laughed!

It's pathetic how low these a$$hole stars will go to hurt those who are not in agreement with them. If it were me that they had mocked, I would have turned around and calmly asked Brad how his relationship with Gwenyth Paltrow was and when are they getting married.

Make sure that these names are written on bombs our boys drop, eg. "to Saddam from Marty Sheen". Do it in their name anyway.

Inconsequential, try different approach! 30 years after giving comfort to the enemy, Hanoi Jane is still a celebrity, still respected, why, admired in many quarters! As I said on another thread, now pulled, the phrase "enemies foreign and domestic" has lost all of its meaning (at least the last part has.) Try a different approach.

I heard reported on the news earlier this week that Bruce Willis wishes he were younger so he could enlist and go to Bagdad and fight the son-of-a-gun himself! He actually called the White House to see what else he can do.

Also, there is former Senator Fred Thompson of Law and Order Fame who made the commercial in support of our need to go to war to in an effort to counteract Martin Sheen's ad.

I saw something reported on FoxNews Cable channel about John Travolta in regard to his opinion or stand, and they were saying it was not what we might expect, but I had to leave the house before it was reported on so I didn't get the scoop on that....do any of you know what it was?

Also, comedian Dennis Miller if very pro-Bush, and supportive of us going to war and has been very vocal on numerous talk shows taking on Donahue 2x as a matter of fact, not to mention others.

Well, that's all I can recall right now from the Hollywood scene that have taken a stand opposite the loud mouth anti-war counterparts.

This is for the Hall of Fame, cuz my Hall of Shame nominees would take up a few hundred pages. :-)

James Woods
Steven Spielberg
Tom Cruise (need to doublecheck both of their current opinions, but as of Sept 2003 they were pro-mil-action in Iraq)
Dennis Miller (it was great to see him come out! GREAT!)
Trey Parker & Matt Stone (creators of South Park)
John Travolta
Bruce Willis
Pat Sajak
CHARLTON HESTON!!!!
Ben Stein
Kid Rock
Robert Klein
and now, since he's a celeb, Bob Dole :p
Ted Nugent
Joe Walsh (need to check on his current views as well)
Frank Zappa, RIP ("Communism will never work because people will always want...*stuff*!")

...and the rest of the silent minority, some of whom I am doing some pro-bono pro-war ghostwriting/nom de plume stuff for, and I really cannot hammer this home enough: Hollywood is not as liberal as you think. YES, it's liberal, of course, but it's far more concerned with showbiz news, plus the politics are politics of lifestyle, and you only hear the Garofalos because that's who the media focuses in on, and, unfortunately, they also tend to be the most vocal.

So I think a nomination should ALSO go to all those who are staying quiet and NOT voicing their opinions either way, because isn't that the point? I don't care if John Travolta supports Bush any more than I care if Garofalo opposes him. After all, I don't think Bush should be in the business of telling Hollywood what sort of films to make or songs to write.

Dennis Miller I enjoy seeing because his mind works so fast that he can skewer liberals if he wants to -- witness Donahue. It's nice to have another rapier-shart wit in the conservative kitchen drawer.

But let's not forget: The set designers. The production assistants who run and get the coffee for the bigwigs. The little guys who plug along at 9-5 jobs waiting for the big break -- ain't that still the American Dream?

I just can't be filled with that much hate for any American citizen anymore, as stupid as they may be, although I am indeed aware how dangerous liberals can become. Right now my vitriol is reserved for the U.N.; I can't muster any more. :-)

All joking aside though, again, don't blanket-trash Hollywood without realizing that you ARE blanket-trashing some silent conservatives and even some conservatives who call themselves liberal so as to make sure they have *work*. A lowly writer belonging to the WGAE/WGAW isn't going to do his career any good by making a big stink over the flatulent Michael Moore's self-righteous, snotty, award-laden "Bowling for Columbine".

Besides, the fight should be more along the lines of, people in Hollywood are like anyone else, no more important, no less important. Our obssession with Hollywood "enemies", I feel, except for a choice few, demeans us by dragging ourselves down to their level. Does one really need to respond to a Sheryl Crow? Sure, it's fun, but all I care about is that the conservative speech is not censored. Sheryl Crow is free to make an idiot out of herself. I just want to make sure that conservatives in Hollywood are afforded the same opportunity without fear of retribution.

What Sean Penn did, however, is a heck of a lot harder to forgive, and right now you'd have to peg him as probably having done the worst (going on foreign soil and badmouthing the US).

I just think we give celiberals too much credit sometimes, and confuse "finding" more conservative celebrities with the general point that celebrities have no business influencing politics any more than you or I do, period, end paragraph. That's the point. Babs should not be faxing talking points to the DNC, nor should Miller be holding intense strategy sessions with Karl Rove.

However, the pro-Bush/war celebrities do intrigue me because of my interest in "propoganda", if you will...that is, the culture wars...see one of my working theories, "South Park as the Conservative Secret Weapon". ;-)
