We all seem to be on the same inflexible (who says inflexibility can’t be a virtue?) wavelength regarding the Clintons and the fact that they continue to pose a threat to our republic. I generally remind anyone who accuses me of obsessing with the Clintons that, just because cockroaches are not always visible (especially during the daylight hours), doesn’t mean they aren’t still lurking behind the walls. These particular cockroaches are intent on taking over the house (and eventually, the entire neighborhood), so, even though they may make themselves conveniently invisible, we have to see to it that their tracks are never covered up. It’s a matter of vigilance, and not allowing history to repeat itself.

BTW, speaking of Girl Scout cookies (were we? Check back to the Black XVII thread if you doubt .... :), I bought nine boxes from nine of my little green, badge-bedecked piano students. They brought them to their lessons Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and today. There are only five boxes left (you do the math). And if we’re taking a poll .... I vote for Animal Treasures (@ 95 calories/cookie, and 16 cookies/box, no wonder I’m having trouble fitting into my jeans tonight .... :)

Dear Mia: I asked, I got! Thanks in particular for having dug up the quotes attributable to these Democratic senators who voted to acquit Clinton, on the subject of their conviction, not quite 10 years earlier, of a federal judge in an impeachment case.

I read NOT ONE WORD about that judge case in the local papers during the Clinton impeachment proceeding. Thanks for bringing in the record.

As for the vocabulary........yup, sounds like lit crit.

I'll bet that Mr. Bedard is a member of "one of those groups" so "obsessed" with voting in -- and having access to -- the clintons that they--ooops-- failed to notice the obvious danger of the lovely couple.
