I thought that Iraqis had no money! We have to distribute food from 55000 sites, yet they are going to waltz into their local gun shop?

I'm sure the liberals will use this as an argument for banning guns here in the US.

Well, I guess even a country like Iraq has SOME good points!!
On the other hand, the "Christian Science Monitor" is a liberal bleeding heart rag.

It really makes you wonder how Saddam managed to stay in power so long with an armed population. He is pretty crafty, along with ruthless.
It drives me nuts when lefties say "Why don't we just assassinate Hussein?" as if it is as easily said as done.

They will fight until they know Saddam is dead, then they will rejoice.
After we destroy their communications, we should announce that Saddam is dead whether he is or not, and I suspect many of these militia will lose the "will" to fight.

The Iraqi populace is not armed. Has anyone EVER seen them fire into the air like the Palestinians?
No? End of story.
Stay safe; stay armed,

Anyone have the link to interviews with Iraqis who've been saying, very quietly and in private only, that they are buying guns in preparation for the chaos that will follow the fall of the government, and for defense against the government forces, as the central government disintigrates?

If a heavily armed citizenry chooses not to overthrow a dictator, are we liberating anybody or does that justification go down the memory hole?
