She had three options: 1) keep her liberal personal thoughts and emails off the company's computers and time; 2) find a liberal employer who would allow her to waste as much time as she wished to excrete her loopy liberal thoughts and smear them all over cyberspace, or 3) go into business for herself and spend her own time and money expressing her personal political thoughts.

It's that simple. She chose option 1) and took the risk her employer might not be amused. She lost her job. Her choice. Done deal.

I say the employer overreacted.

Sometimes you may have a "right" to do something that is not necessarily "right."

I'd've reprimanded the woman, and asked her to refrain in the furture from doing this.

BTW, how many FReepers do you reckon are using their company time and company computers right now to participate?

Do you favor all of them being fired?
