One more out of work RAT. Maybe next time, Tamara will keep her traitorous thoughts to herself.

If she got the email in her company mailbox and made it clear that her views were her own, she shouldn't have been fired. This cuts both ways people. Liberals try to get conservatives fired, too. Remember that some filters classify Free Republic as a hate site. That's why I use a pseudonym here and no other place on the 'net.

First of all, I don't believe Charlie Daniels responded to her directly.
Secondly, if folks read at his site that was mentioned, you can tell he's obviously anti-hollywood BS.
Me, gotta love him! I saw him first at a high school basketball half-time performance in Eau Claire, WI, many years ago - and that was after I already loved his music.
Charlie Daniels rocks, big time! Not just musically. He sounds off against the Hollyweirdos. More power to him! JLO

Unless she is a loud and roudy protester type she should be intitled to her own thoughts on the matter.
Every one is intitled.

Sucks to be her.
Now that she's no longer on company time she can spout off about her anit-war feelings and how much she hates America, till the cows come home.

Don't know what her email said, but unless it was really off the wall, I doubt Charlie would really be pleased with this.
I knew Charlie in the early days with the Jaguars at the Fondalite Club (forgot the spelling) in Tulsa. I used to rotate bands through there when he wasn't hogging the stage. I was just a 19 year old out to conquer the rock and roll world. Charlie always had a word of encouragment. A real stand up guy. Unlike Jerry what's-his-name who owned the club.
CHARLIE ROCKS!!!!

Again we have another innocent "I was just exercising my free-speech rights" story that, like the mall t-shirt story, is probably missing some key elements that would put a different light on it altogether. These stories, as reported, look like these lefties are victims of Pro-war fascists. These reports just don't pass the smell test for me.

She used company resources for personal use. Most likely the company has an E-mail policy covering this - most do. So it is likely that she would have been fired for unautherized use of company resources per policy and not because of the content of the email.

It should have been done on her own computer after business hours. She absolutely had every right to do that. I would suspect that employees have been warned at most companies that you use your work computer for business only and while you are on the clock, personal business is not tolerated.

His publicist, Kirk Webster sent the e-mail to people in the music and media industry. hmmmmm, unsolicited e-mail is typically called spam. She responds to an unsolicited e-mail, that was specifically targeted to people in her line of employment, and she gets fired for doing so? And she just happens to work for GAC, who is obviously affiliated in a way with Daniels and the publicist.
Im glad I like CMT better than GAC.

I don't know if I agree with this one. She has a right to aspouse her views so long is she is politce and does not come across as a threat. But, technically her employer does have a right to fire her, since she used a company computer. Personally, I wouldn't want to work for such a company, if that's how they treat their employees. That's to PC for me.
