Has Robert Byrd faced any flack for portraying a Confederate General in "Gods and Generals"? Now imagine Trent Lott in that same role and the amount of backlash he would have recieved.
Liberals will look away to their own, i.e. Clinton and the NOW, but are quick to admonish Republicans. Hypocrites!

Roger Ebert began his review saying that it was a movie that conservatives would love because the first black man doesn't get a speaking role until about 90 minutes into the movie. The bigoted nature of such bit players (and financers) as Senator 'Sheets' Byrd (Tip O'Neil's name for him) and Ted Turner was not discussed in Mr. Ebert's review.
