Lied about what? Can you tell us when and how they lied? Can you also tell us when in the alleged act of lying they committed a criminal act?
Allow me to introduce you to the term "accessory", as defined at Law.com's Legal Dictionary:
accessory n. a second-string player who helps in the commission of a crime by driving the getaway car, providing the weapons, assisting in the planning, providing an alibi, or hiding the principal offender after the crime. Usually the accessory is not immediately present during the crime, but must be aware that the crime is going to be committed or has been committed. Usually an accessory's punishment is less than that of the main perpetrator, but a tough jury or judge may find the accessory just as responsible.
What "lie" are you referring to? Calling up the clinic and claiming to be 13? I guess you would be okay if they'd phrased it as a hypothetical?
The fact is that 13-year-olds impregnated by 22-year-olds do have abortions. The crime involved is concealed; the evidence is destroyed. You know it, and I know it.
Trying to divert the moral question to whether it was okay to use subterfuge to demonstrate that is wonderfully clever. I guess that's a good tack to use when you can't confront the immorality you're trying to defend head on, hmm?
