Saturday Night Live - "Bill you ignorant slut" (VCR ALERT)
03-08-03
Posted on 03/08/2003 8:42:05 PM PST by Grig
SNL opening skit was a spoof of clinton/dole doing point/counterpoint.
Honest to goodness you would think a freeper wrote the skit. Clinton was his oily self-agrandizing self, Doles first remark "Bill you ignorant slut".
Someone please tape this and get a digial copy of it online.

MAD TV had an anti-France, -Germany, -Saddam, -North Korea skit, too. I had seen earlier SNL skits indicating they were on our side, but tonight was the first I'd seen on MAD TV. They've hired an actor who does a pretty good Kim Il-Jong (too late to doublecheck spelling) who was dancing with a Fat Boy looking bomb earlier. Ackroyd was great and Clinton was his usual self-absorbed self.

It might not be because of Rush, but of course that won't stop him from taking credit for it.
I hope I can at least get the audio of this sometime soon. If any of you west coasters can capture it to a movie file and put in on kazza or a website, that would be great.

Norm McDonald is a staunch conservative and lets it be known, hence his lack of major work in hollyweird.
Too bad- he is way funny.
He also once accused Xlintoon of the vince foster murder on live TV in front of Baba Wawa, who almost had a cow.

Yep, they got the idea from Rush Nope
Ackroid and Jane Curtin did Point Counterpoint every week on the original SNL, and Dan opened every counterpoint "Jane, you ignorant slut". It was an irresistable play.

That's cool. Lorne Michaels has been doing pretty good with the opening skits lately.
Too bad Norm MacDonald isn't Dole. He does Dole better than Dole. I think he was fired. I wonder what he did to piss off Lorne.
I presume Darrell Hammond does Clinton.
Can't wait to see it.

Rush goes back 10 or 12 years. SNL was doing this 25 years ago.

Bob Dole a "useful idiot"-- I think not. While he is and always has been a true gentleman (in the best sense of that word)he has always had an ascerbic wit. Some real idiots at one time interpreted this as evidence of his "mean streak", I will always think of him as my favorite republican presidential contender. Remember, this was the guy who once referred to a panel of the three ex-presidents, Ford, Carter and Nixon as "see-no-evil, hear-no-evil and evil"

Hammond's Clinton was always good; so was that other guy whose wife killed him. Forget his name. LOL. Showing my age here? Oh, Phil Hartman. Good recovery there.
Hammond does a good Algorithm too. It's good that we'll never have to see that again.

SNL was doing this 25 *Sigh* I feel old ... :-(, and another comment posted earlier about Steve Steve Martin and Dan Akroyd reprising their "Wild and Crazy Guys" routine in a cameo a couple of weeks back (in what was a Will Farrell cameo, a cameo within a cameo?) ... *sigh* I feel old ...

I know this is off topic, but did anyone catch Michael Savage's show today?

That's a great one about Dole:

LOL at Horatio Sanz as Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. Stick a mustache on him and ruffle up his hair and he is a dead ringer.

...that won't stop him from taking credit for it. And to think that I thought "...show prep..." was just tongue-in-cheek. Or an idle boast.
To: The Wizard
Thanks. I just saw the thread on the show. I tried using the search engine, but it didn't pull the thread up.

Horatio was great!
"I look like the time to make the donuts guy!" ROTFL!!!!
