Why oh why oh why did we bother going to the UN in the first place? Because W wanted to strip it naked and put it on stage for the whole world to see. Now everyone (or at least those who wish to see) realizes that the emperor has no clothes. It's been excruciating and maddening, but the end result has been the unmasking of the UN, as well as the unmasking of enemies who had been masquerading as friends. Bush has smoked them out. Now he's also got them on the run.
