When did you hear me say I did not want him on the air or that I would do anything to hurt him. If you are going to respond, please read everything I have said and not just what you object to. The more response I get, the more I realize that I've hit the nail on the head! HOW MANY TIMES TO I HAVE TO SAY I LIKE HIS MESSAGE AND I TOTALLY AGREE WITH HIS BORDERS, LANGUAGE & CULTURE? I STILL THINK HE IS CLASSLESS!

Disagreeing and bashing are two different things! It's disagreeing when THEY do it, bashing when WE do it, doncha get it?

Everybody knows I'm a BushBot and cannot possibly think for myself.
Even you had to interpret my remarks for me because I didn't understand what I had said.
DUH.

I read back through the thread, too. I'm revisiting THIS Thread. I haven't posted since Post #51........Which was at the time of the beginning of the show..............It's Sunday night and I'm waiting for Drudge to start while listening to Booknotes on C-Spam.
My impression: I gave it my full attention AND have never heard Savage before (as I mention in #51). My impression was that the show could use some work but had potential. One of the major things I noticed first off was that Savage introduced 5 or more topics. This was really confusing. He needs to focus on a limited number of messages (if thats in fact what he wants to do with the show, if you see what I mean). If he just wants to rant, then go for it, but the show will 'wander'. Maybe limit it to a topic per segment and riff off of THAT. Rush does this on his radio show: By and large limits his presentation to one or two topics, or group of related news stories per hour.
The set was cheap but that doesn't matter if its presented properly. I really enjoyed the lighting in Drudge's show........kinda like a single overhead light in a smokey jazz-bar. It was intimate and gave a 'performance' ambiance. Maybe this is what he should shoot for. All in all a good first shot.

I've had the pleasure to briefly speak with Savage and talk with his son several times at length. You'd wash your mouth out for the garbage you've said if you had the same experience.

Hi Howlin,
I didn't see the show, but I do know one thing. One TV, the visuals are primary. If the set and production values are as unremarkable as the screen shot shows, and the descriptions make it seem, either the producer at MSNBC didn't bother to get out of bed that day, or MS needs more creative control if he wants it to succeed. That's one of the reasons why those public access shows on Channel 52 with the black backdrop and director's chairs don't have a huge audience. Sure, the message may be terrific, but if the visual doesn't bring you and and keep you there, it's ultimately waste of time.
And, IMHO, to operate as if the look of the set, on-screen graphics, etc. are not a primary factory, is naive and will not contribute to the longevity of the show these days. Murrow didn't need much, but those were different times, in many different ways.
