Are there any outstanding amendments on the floor or is there a motion for clothure of debate?

*Smacks head for not remembering Robert's Rules*

waidaminnit here. the governing authority ("controlling legal authority") here is tom's rules of order, in which the vote necessary to bring about the action is one more than those seeking it can muster. that's how the big guys -- figuratively, of course, daschle being an embittered midget -- do it.

Maybe this is a planned leak to flush him out and get him on the move.

Then again this may be indicative of the Federal government at work.

It's also the most common new baby boys name in Brussels this year.

Why do you think Muhammad Atef is dead? The FBI site didn't confirm it.

You can create a bookmark to just that reply by using the 'bookmark' at the top of the thread and replacing the URL with this http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/859008/replies?comment=9 and calling it whatever you want. I called it *Al Qaida Scorecard so it would be at the top of my list.

ac posted: If it pleases the Chair, I'd like to propose an amendment to the current motion on the floor to make The Scorecard more than just a thread, but a permanently clickable category of the Free Republic.

Then as it is updated, we can email it to the Da$$hole, the Hildebea$t and my leftwing senators the Chifi and the Boxer Short. Challenging them to read it and to stop lying about us failing in the war on terrorism.

Or we can mail it to the NY Slimes or the LA Slimes when one of their infected maggots try to say we are losing the war on terrorism.

This is a fantastic chart!

Well if we were employing Tom's rules of order, we could do darn near anything we wanted as long as we were named Tom and a midget.

As Mark Steyn said, he's hiding out as bits of DNA at the bottom of the collapsed caves of Tora Bora.

Any news report that has in its first three sentences: "was reported to", "reportedly", "were reported" and "no confirmation", is simply birdcage lining.

There is lots of conflicting info on these guys. I think Freeper Angelus Errare, who put together much of he info on this list, used whatever reputable info was available.

From the Guardian:

Mohammed Atef

Egyptian militant who rose to the top of the al-Qaida hierarchy

Khaled Dawoud
Monday November 19, 2001
The Guardian

Mohammed Atef, who was killed, aged 57, in an United States air raid near Kabul was, according to US intelligence, the military planner of the Islamist al-Qaida group. US Intelligence also identified him as having masterminded the bombing of its embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. The US had placed a $5m reward on his head.

East African Operations Chief: I thought Abu Mohammed al-Masri was the guy that just died in the car bomb incident.

Correct, or two guys with the same name?

Yes apparently a different guy. With the limited number of names these guys use (everyone is named Mohammed) and the multiple spellings (you say Usama, I say Osama, You say Mohammed, I say Muhammed etc etc) it makes just keeping track of these guys dificult.

BTW, I heard that in the days following 9/11 the FBI and CIA had a terrible time trying to co-ordinate because there was no common spelling methodology.

I'm somewhat amazed that anyone would believe a word Muhammad says. I would be shocked if this piece of garbage would turn on his religious cause so easily. Perhaps he's been somehow "persuaded" to tell the truth. I remain skeptical.
