This was just to dramatic to ignore. It looks professionally written and may be fiction for all I know, but makes its point powerfully, nonetheless.

Can you please change the H in "peach" to an E before I die laughing?

It really matters not who authored this piece. The words are so powerful and true that it surely has to come from the center of a soldiers soul.
To the author I say Semper Fi! I remain committed to defending our country, our freedom and our honor.

To all the pansy punks and their signs of treason and hatred to this country I curse you. Your place in eternity is not with those of honor who went before you. It is in a hell of your own making, lined with the curtains and tapestries of dishonor and traitorous deeds. AMEN brother. AMEN

Great post. (Even if you did type "peach". ; )

Those peace activists are fools. God bless this man and all the vets who fought for this country.
The peace activists can go shove it, yesterday in class some bum came in late, making a scene about "walking out in protest of an unjust war". I told him that saddam would be proud of him.

What a great essay...thanks for posting! I think it may well be legit. As you say, it looks as though it was written by a person with an excellent command of the language, but certain terms and phrases suggest that it was written by an older person.
He is right...there WERE peace activists then, particularly before Pearl Harbor. Of course they had the good grace to, for the most part, slink back to their caves after we were obviously involved. Had they not, they would have been shunned and ridiculed by the general populace...most of whom had friends and relatives in the war. Many of the peaceniks today are nothing more than leftover communists and hippies from the Vietnam era. They should be vilified and scorned wherever they appear.
Maybe we could throw peaches? (sure hope that that "peach" post doesn't disappear...or that will look really silly).
