...Stephen Pollard writes in The Telegraph that the U.S. (and Britain?) may stage a U.N. walkout if the obstructionists carry the day at the Security Council:
Well-connected advisers tell me that if, as now seems likely, the UN refuses to back action against terror, Mr Bush will announce a "temporary" suspension of America's membership, to be accompanied by an offer: if the UN gets its act together and carries out long-overdue reforms, America (and its money) will return. But if there is no reform, the temporary withdrawal will, de facto, become permanent.

I think that we are going to hear and see some stuff that is even going to blow our minds -- and we always expect the worst.

I didn't read your whole post because it was too long. So what if they pass stuff against us. They are irrelevant. We can just flip them off. And, if we withdraw our membership, you can bet there will be a string of others, especially the eastern European countries.

Excellent. Get the US out of the UN! A propos of nothing other than mention of the UN and my ability to endlessly amuse myself, here are some anagrams of 'UNITED NATIONS' (generated at The Internet Anagram Server):
DON'T INSINUATE
TAINTED UNIONS
DO IT, INANE NUTS!
INSTANT END, OUI?
DIE, NUTS IN NATO!

Why was it okay for the UN to use force to pursue Muhammad Farah Aidid and his followers in Somalia, and it isn't okay for the U.S. to use force to disarm Sadaam? There has never been one mention about the attacks the UN organized on so-called Somali civilians, nor the role the UN played in the murder of our soldiers in Mogadishu. I think it's hypocritical of the UN to refuse to deal with the likes of Sadaam Hussein when they went all out trying to capture Aidid.

Permanent suspension is the one true way for the US to take.

Just make sure the UN diplomats pay up on their parking tickets before they leave.
To: Baron von Smash
That would be welcome news. I wonder what good hundred dollar suits will do most of these diplomats in the countries they come from.
Bush is courageous, and I think the UN cannot yet understand his frankness and directness. They talk in circles and he talks straight.
GO MR. PRESIDENT!!!

What current UN resolutions are we upholding, regarding N. Korea? How come Powell isn't giving speeches before the UN about the N. Korean situation? I didn't think we were using the UN with this issue. Isn't the main point with N. Korea, whether or not we will move our troops out? Asia can watch N. Korea, and we can deploy troops if need be.

That's just the beauty of it... the Democrats already think he is dumb enough ... and we know he isn't stupid, at all. He holds his cards much closer to the vest than the press allows us to think. He is not transparent, as seen by his press conference this evening. He left way too many questions unanswered, and for very good reasons. He dumped Kyoto and the ICC, why not the UN? The Democrats screamed when he did this... but, they'll CRY if he dumps the UN. Congress, when under Democratic control, is a useful puppet for the UN, and vice-versa.

Hopefully this is redundant:
Send them home and put up a FOR LEASE sign

We suggest Lagos or perhaps Rangoon.
To: Baron von Smash
Now, let is happen: Get the U.N. out or our FREE U.S., let the U.S. be the blessed and free country it always has been, without the horrible U.N. defiling our territory any longer.

I wonder if any UN treaties we signed become defunct if we do this.

That is excellent news. Mr President: Please send the UN officials far away (France?)

B1 Bob with a few supporting characters would be classic! And since Bob Dornan is VERY RC, no more abortion supporting feminazi crap would pass.
