I would like to see an absolute smoking gun myself....but that probably wont happen until we go into IRAQ. Saddam is really snookered. He can't prove WMD are destroyed, yet says they are, so he can't use them in a war with the U.S.
If he does, the whole world gets to bite the U.S's big one.

President Bush has played it kewl, right from the get go. He absolutely cornered & treed the RATS.

President Bush: "I want a Homeland Security Dept, answereing to me."
Dems: "No, it must be a Cabinet position."
President Bush: "Ok"

How about:

President Bush: "we're taking out IRAQ". Dems: "Not without a U.N. resolution"
President Bush: "Ok"

or this

President Bush: "We will use force to disarm Saddam"
Dems: "you can't without congress approval"
President Bush: "You already have given it to me"
Desm: "oh ya, I forgot, well we want a do-over"

Bottom line....stay focused, keep your powder dry and wait for the whites of their eyes.!

I wondered for a time "Why all the talk and no action?"

As events are unfolding now, I am seeing that President Bush has a lot more information than I do and knows what he is doing.

To decapitate Al Quaida before going in to Iraq is a wonderful way to reduce the terrorism threat to our homeland.

The liberals in the US and the world have taken advantage of him and have been bashing us as a country. Even the most lame-brained can see that this is orchestrated. They have "outed" themselves. We should not forget their hatred and propaganda pandering in the next few weeks when they try to be buddies again.

The communists always said that they would beat the US because we have no patience.

I see, with just a little more patience, the end of Al Quaida, Iraq and the UN all in one package. Well worth the wait.

Well that's your option and opinion ... And I think many are slowly turning your way. People as a whole don't have the patience to play chess. We live in the age of instant gratification and life at the speed of video games.

I get frustrated at his pace at times but then I know I'm not privy to the intel he has or the long range goals that are being pursued. It does seem that it's taken a long time to put the assets in place to do this job. But hell what do I know.

All things have their season whether we as humans agree or not. And in time the seasons will come and go.

BJR is not alone. My patience is wearing see-through thin too. We could have had this thing settled *last year* if the will to just do it had been there. I don't want to hear any more speeches, and I never saw any good reason to even talk to the U.N. at all.

It's time to defecate or get off the pot. I want to get on with the war. And I don't want any half-measures either. I want this thing settled *for good*. I want to put the fear of Allah in all the "holy warriors" and whirling dervishes and yodelling wahoobies so bad that *none* of 'em or their friends will *ever* even *think* about messing with us anymore.

Time is not on our side. Every day we drag our feet gives Saddam more time to dig in deeper, plant booby traps, organize resistance, and develop/deploy his biological and chemical weapons. Every day we delay is going to cost American lives.

The sooner we get started the sooner it'll be over. And then maybe there'll be *some* chance of getting some of these B.S. anti-constitutional laws repealed, and of getting some of our liberty and privacy back.

It is way past time to stop talking and start shooting.

"The guy really isn't very smart after all".

Hmmm, I found out in High School what other people thought of me was none of my business. I still think that way,it's made me a better business person/human, believe me. That being said, we went the U.N. route to buy time IMO,to move 250K soldiers into place, build that HUGE base in Qatar(Seen those satellite pictures online? Freepmail me if you haven't and I'll drop that URL on you ) and for no other reason than believing "Coalitions Make Good Policy". Removing the Madass from Kuwait was a fine example of this. Don't be shaken. I'm a little less mad than you are, because I've stopped watching much of the B.S. Commentary that airs after my workday. I used to flip between every channel to get it all, but I found I was getting too angry, and after all, I'm powerless over all this S___. I've had place my trust in George W. Bush,Don R., his right hand Paul Wolfowitz and Pentagon Military Planners to root out the Terrorism, which in all honesty, and quite unfortunately is the New Permanent War as long as people on earth remain alive.I mean really, for as far into the future as I can imagine, how are we ( and our Childrens Kids' Kids' ) supposed to tell a good Muslim from a Murderous/Treacherous Suicidal one? (Nobody's answered that because they can't.)

I think Ari Fletcher's response to the lovely Helen Thomas at yesterday's press briefing is a perfect response for this post of yours:

-- "Helen (substitute "BJR" here), if you were President you might view things differently. But you have your judgment and the President has others."

Remember, BJR, patience is a virtue and you have to remember that he has much more information than we do and will go when everything is in place. President Bush seems to me to care more about this country and its military than any other president I can remember (other than Ronald Regan - hard to choose between the two when it comes to their love of this country).

I see several positive benefits that have occured because of the patience Bush has shown in this conflict.

We have proven the U.N. to be a farce, We now have a major can of woop ass in place around Iraq that is about to set one major example of why you don't mess with the U.S.A.

Nations that are not with us have been exposed for who they are.

What happens in Iraq will be on every nations mind especially those who have not been with us.

There will be peace but it is the example we are about to set that is going to go the farthest in achieving a more permanent peace.
