VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) -- John Walker Lindh, who is serving a 20-year sentence for helping the Taliban, may have been attacked by one or more white supremacists at a federal prison in this desert community northeast of Los Angeles, it was reported Thursday.

One of those "leave it to your imagination" reports. The white supremicists must have done it, "proving" that the patriotically inclined are racists.

Not necessarily. Several of the *White power* groups have announced their support for the Jihadists, who are, after all, assisting in the killing of Jews in Israel, and are allied with the Muslim Croatian wartime allies of the Nazis, descendents of the Ustashi. It's just as likely that the Aryan Brotherhood or other *white religious and civil rights organizations [hey, that's what they're called if they're of some OTHER race] took on Lindh because they perceived him to be a snitch, particularly in light of his attorney father's former position with the Justice Department.

That said, if anyone has a snailmail or e-mail address where we can send our thanks to the AB or other jailhouse *white supremicist group* involved, it might be a nice gesture to at least send them a thank-you card or two.

I have seen it mentioned in print precisely ONCE that the men who dragged James Byrd to death had all been in prison, and had been raped REPEATEDLY by black prisoners. From the news coverage, you would think these white men got riled up against blacks by listening to too much Rush Limbaugh.

It is a great and sad cultural blindness -- a bad hearted black meaness -- that we celebrate how many people we throw in prison, thinking it serves justice. It serves only a mustering of Divine Justice in retribution against such mean folly, I am afraid.

We ignore at great hazard the condition of our prisons and the festering of worse evils that they have become.

Uh...think'n you missed my point. The article was pretty vague regarding everything else, but sounded fairly definite that it was a white supremacist. It very well could've been...makes no nevermind to me. But I get pretty tired of articles and news reports that seem to have no problem identifying white sepremacists and racists when it comes to "whitey" in general. Which one is worse? A white supremacist or a terrorist?

As far as I'm concerned, they can both rot in hell...and it doesn't bother me at all that it might have been. They can beat each other to death for all I care.
