John Walker Lindh, who is serving a 20-year sentence for helping the Taliban, may have been attacked by one or more white supremacists at a federal prison in this desert community northeast of Los Angeles, it was reported Thursday.

White Supremacists? Isn't Lindh white? Well, nobody said the "supremacists" were an intelligent bunch. Or maybe this was a lie.

(03-06) 09:10 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --  The FBI said Thursday it was investigating an attack by an inmate on John Walker Lindh, who is imprisoned for helping the Taliban in Afghanistan.

"There was an assault and we have a pending investigation," FBI spokesman Ed Cogswell said here. He said he couldn't comment on the details of an ongoing probe.

Another law enforcement source speaking on condition of anonymity said Lindh was uninjured.

"It was a minor incident, a prison fight. He got a little scraped up, but he's fine. One guy was picking on him," said this source, speaking on condition of anonymity. The source said it wasn't possible to immediately provide information on Lindh's attacker.

I daresay that our prison system, with its regular horrid abuse of inmates by other inmates, contravenes the Bill of Rights. No matter what you think of a particular inmate and his treason.

One thing I've noticed about the "anti-WOD" crowd: They have a tendency to confuse FEDERAL crimes with STATE. I have no reason to believe there are any inmates in Federal prison for simple pot possession--and certainly none for traffic tickets.

Certainly the United States has enough faults to keep you busy so when you have finished with prison reform you can effect a change in another short coming .
