I agree with you that others will come over on subsequent cloture votes IF the pressure builds at all. If the pressure fades, then it will be tough. Frist and the leadership will need to be very strong on this.
Nelson (NE) just needs to go ahead and switch. he could have a lifetime job if he did. He votes more like a GOPer than people like Chaffee, Specter, and Snowe anyway.
