The Democrats have to know via their internal polling what this filibuster is doing to them politically with Hispanic voters. People are paying attention and the longer this drags on, the more damage Democrats will suffer, especially if the filibuster continues during a war with Iraq and the resultant liberation of Iraq.

Schumer contendes this process has been an attempt to obliterate the role of advise and consent of the Senate. Schumer states (again) that Estrada is an idealogue. Now cushions it as "we have no way of knowing..." as he again accuses him of avoiding questions.
Schumer says he opposes idealogues as judges whether they be extreme conservatives or liberals.
