WPHT To Give More Details On Abusive Maine Teachers and National Guard Kids, More Wide Spread
WPHT 1210 AM WEBSITE ^
Posted on 03/04/2003 5:19:44 PM PST by Doctor Raoul
Right now, Dom Giordano is talking about the USMC Major who chose to deploy with his unit rather than staying behind for his infant's heart transplant operation. He and his wife agreed that he should go because to switch leadership of the Marines he trained would risk lives. The Major's mother is scheduled to be interviewed. In the later part of the show, the Maine teachers abusing the National Guard kids has some new info. It's more widespread, it's 100 incidents. One was some bitch who denied a kid an absense to see his father leave for deployment. She "put her foot down" and said she'd give him an "unexcused absense" and that there would be "consequences".
I want that name. She deserves public ridicule and scorn.

I might be able to shed some light on the 'unexcused absence' business...
In CA, the only 'excused absences' (those pd ADA by the state) were for illness and medical appts. All schoolwork that was missed could be made up.
All other legitimate absences (family trip, religious reasons, etc.) were considered 'unexcused'. This meant that the state did not pay the school for that student on that day.
It was not a 'cut' and there was no punishment, but it was up to the teacher whether any missed work could be made up.
Nevertheless, that chick sounds like a Marxist wench.

"I want that name."
DITTO!
Why dont we (the internet) have it by now?
FOIA doncha know.Is it because no one has brought "official" charges yet? I am not advocating witch hunts, but if this is actually happening in Maine,I dont see how civilian school districts can claim "classified secrets" info status regarding the alledged actions of public school teachers.
Is this a prime example of the power of "unions", or is this pure sensational media hype? Enquiring minds want to know...

Here's an excerpt from
http://www.pressherald.com/news/state/030304teachers.shtml Flap over war criticism in schools ends swiftly
By TESS NACELEWICZ, Portland Press Herald Writer
EXCERPT:
Rogers said the complaints were gathered by Maj. Andrew Gibson, a Guard chaplain, at meetings where relatives of deployed soldiers get information and support. Rogers said Gibson did not investigate the complaints but "feels very strongly that they are correct."
In addition to the complaints about the classroom debate and a child being mocked on the bus, the Guard has described these three other complaints:
A soldier at the Bangor meeting said that when he took his children from school early to say goodbye, he was told it would be an unexcused absence.
Another soldier reported that when he asked a school guidance counselor to watch for changes in his child's demeanor or behavior, the counselor said, "You're in the Army, aren't you? Your child should be able to deal with it."
Another parent said that when she told the school principal that her child had been teased by other children who said her father could be killed in the war, she was told there was nothing school officials could do because the other children were right and what the child's father was doing was wrong.

the fact is they are hiding the data on this PUBLIC employee, so we cannot make an issue out of HER demonic hatred of our military men and women.
I wish there was a way to traumatize these "you cannot touch me" demons in education.. so badly they had to check into a mental hospital.
The classroom is NO place for these statists to enforce their hellishness on little kids. How much longer before patriots start taking these matters into their own hands. We have about 3 percent of our population who needs an OVEN experience... to get the picture.
God help us, it looks like its headed our way if this crap does not cease and desist.
Bush cannot deal with this level of problem... these are local matters... and we need to highlight the bejesus out of these things till local folks get riled up to the point of taking every legal action the law allows to stop educational abuse... BY TEACHERS...
Call the bank where these folks have their home loans, call the loans, on their houses, cars and appliances. Castigate them publicly by highly visual charges for various things like drug use, sedition, conspiracy and treason. The hobson act. These are clearly communist collaborators. They should be picketed 24/7, and ostracized in their communities... until they are unable to function in normal society...
I cannot think of a term low enough to correspond the visceral hatred these folks generate amongst decent, God loving, neighbor helping, folks. It goes way beyond disgust.
This person is a festering cancerous lesion on her community... God forgive them for letting her stay in their neighborhood and work in their school system.
Our educational system is rife with these vomitorium masters... and we need deliverance from them.

I am very aware of the constraints placed on military members when interacting with civilian entities.
Nothing in the link you provided was of actual substance. I am not a fan of out-of-controll socialistic public educators.I deal with them every day, both personally and professionally.
Someone knows the names of the individuals accused in these incidents. That niether the media, nor the internet, has coughed up a name of an actual alledged abuser does not mean I dont believe it actually happened, it just means I refuse to to be "played" by sensationalist media hype, from either side.
I was born in the dark, but it wasnt last night. ;^)

Personally, I believe the head of the Maine Guard put a gag on the PAO and chaplin. They spoke up enough to get the Commissioner to issue the letter. It's only afterwards that they started to be uncooperative.
A Democrat Governor, the NEA and a political appointee.....I smell a rat here.
The Guard won't even release what town in which some of these incidents occurred.
BTW, Dom teased this story during the "handoff" from the previous show's host, but didn't go into it during the show. I'll have to email him about that.

Actually, she deserves to be fired upon while blindfolded Now, now, let's not get cruel and unusual, even though I understand your sentiment. tarring and feathering would suffice.

From central Illinois, a thread on a loop for the Bible belt, I wish you and your family all the best. One way or another, the teachers in question will be held accountable.
To: El Gato
However since she was probably following the letter of the rules, the best we can probably hope for is public ridicule and scorn Not giving the child an "unexcused absense" is one thing .. but stating there would be "consequences" is a TOALLY different matter
Good Grief this child's father is being depolyed and this #**$&*$# threatens the kid for just wanting to say goodbye .. Sorry that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over the line
Sorry for my rant .. I am ticked off at this story
